McAfee has announced the appointment ofMike Fey as its global chief technology officer. Previously the head of Field Engineering and Advanced Technology organizations for the company, Fey will now be responsible for overseeing the office of the CTO including the management of McAfee's team of regional and sector CTOs and go-to-market teams, as well as ensuring the success of global sales engineers and advanced technology groups.
Fey joined McAfee in 2007, having previously served in leadership positions at several technology companies. He is the lead author of "Security Battleground: an Executive Field Manual," which provides guidance to executives who find themselves shouldering oversight responsibility for information security. He will report directly to McAfee co-president Todd Gebhart.
