The 'phablet' is among the most eagerly-awaited launches in the smartphone world and is expected to feature a 5.5-inch screen, Android4.1 (Jelly Bean) and a quad-core processor.
Previously, rumours had pegged the launch date of Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 on August 31, during IFA in Berlin.
The upcoming Galaxy Note 2 is expected to have a 12 or 13 megapixel camera, a significant upgrade from the current version's 8 megapixel snapper. It is also anticipated that the device will have features like S-Voice, Smart Stay and S-Beam, which debuted in Samsung Galaxy S III.
Samsung has also reportedly decided against using the unbreakable plane (UBP) display, which is more durable than other screens, in Note successor.
However, Samsung on its own has not revealed any details about the upcoming gadget.
