Samsung's Galaxy Tab 730 (the 16GB variant) is now available for Rs. 21,999 via online shopping site Flipkart. The device was launched last year with an MRP of Rs. 32,500. For now, Samsung hasn't confirmed the price reduction. It's notable the other major Indian online store, Infibeam is selling the device for Rs. 25,490.
Samsung had unveiled the 730 in August last year along with the Galaxy Tab 750. The device was then said to be pitted against the likes of theApple iPad 2 as well as other Android tablets, including the Motorola Xoom and HTC Flyer.
Speaking about the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 runs on Andorid 3.1 Honeycomb operating system and is powered by Nvidia's Tegra 2 1GHz dual-core processor. It has 1GB of RAM. Other specifications include an 8.9-inch TFT touchscreen, a 3MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, and 16GB of built-in storage. For connectivity, the tablet supports 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The Samsung Galaxy 730 tablet comes with a 6,100 mAh battery.

Samsung has introduced quite a few tablets since the launch of the Galaxy Tab 730. Price reduction has been an effective strategy to sell off older devices, as seen in the cases of the PlayBook and Xoom tablets. At a price of Rs. 21,999, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 730 looks like a decent deal.
