Apple lately seems to be at the receiving end of CEOs from rival companies. The latest 'attack' on the tech giant comes from Nokia CEO Stephen Elop.
During an interview on Finnish television, Elop was asked questions about Nokia's rumoured device Lumia 928. The interviewer told him that he owns an iPhone 5, to which the former Nokia CEO responded, "How embarrassing!"
As the interviewer said that he wanted to replace his iPhone 5 with a Lumia 928, Elop took the Apple smartphone and threw it on the ground and then promised to exchange it for a new Lumia phone.
During the interview, Elop, however, dodged questions about the rumoured Lumia 928, which is speculated to have all the features of the flagship Lumia 920 but sport an aluminium body.
Earlier this week BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins called iPhone outdated. Heins made the comment on the eve of the launch of the BlackBerry's new touchscreen device Z10 in the US. Few days back, Heins had said that Apple is five years behind rivals when it comes to innovation, despite being an industry pioneer.
Yesterday, at the Big Tent Activate Summit in New Delhi, Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt was asked when Apple Siri rival Google Now will be available on iPhones. He responded that users should pose this question to Apple as "some of the apps we make they approve and some of them they don't."
However, Apple told technology new website CNET that Google Now has not been submitted for approval yet, which was later confirmed by a Google executive.
