The Latest iOS Jailbreak Is Here , Should You Bother

A mere three weeks after Apple released iOS 5.1.1, the jailbreaking community has cracked it wide open. The latest version of the Absinthe jailbreaking tool is now available for download and it covers most iOS 5-compatible generations of the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch.
Because of changes in hardware - most notably the A5 processor - it took hackers several months tojailbreak iOS 5 on the iPhone 4S and iPad 2. Now that the biggest technical hurdles have been overcome, these new jailbreaks are coming out more rapidly.

Engineering students design driverless car

Four students of electronics & communication and mechanical engineering of Lovely Professional University, Punjab, under the guidance of their mentors, have successfully designed a car that can be controlled from a mobile phone, sitting at any part of the world. The car is pliable on both the auto and manual modes and has safety provisions like child-lock , while being on auto mode. The car, which can be commanded well for day as well as also has night vision, has been successfully tested for over 1000 kms.

Engineering tops as most favoured discipline

Image In an era of choices, engineering still dominates as a favoured discipline. There are 3393engineering colleges in India with a capacity of 14.85 lakh seats across 36 courses approved by the All India Council of Technical Education(AICTE). Of the total number of colleges, 65% are in the south and 35% in the north.

With the government adding new Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and National Institutes of Technology (NIT) to the existing list in tier-II cities, and with the birth of more private institutes, are we witnessing the emergence of newer centres of engineering excellence in cities such as Indore, Jodhpur, Jaipur and Bhopal? Also, with newer streams like biomedical engineering, bioinformatics and environmental engineering being offered, are these unconventional combinations gaining in popularity?

Exercise crucial to older adults fitness and health

Washington, May 27 (ANI): Several people consider aging to be a time to slow down and take it easy.
However, a recent study suggests that the more we age, the more we need exercise to keep us independent and healthy.
Yet, sometimes it takes a prescription from the doctor to get adults up and moving.
"Exercise is important for almost everyone. There are very few medical conditions that exercise won't benefit. In fact, I sometime write a prescription to get my patients to start taking this seriously and help them understand exercise can be just as helpful as medication," said Keith Veselik, director of primary care at Loyola University Health System and associate professor in the Department of Medicine at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine.

No plan to revise diesel, LPG or kerosene prices, Reddy

NEW DELHI (Reuters) - The government has no immediate plans to raise the retail prices of diesel, kerosene and LPG, Oil Minister S. Jaipal Reddy said on Monday, days after a move to raise petrol prices prompted a backlash that may result in a partial rollback.
Reddy's remarks do not rule out a price hike, however, and there were unconfirmed TV reports that a group of ministers could consider such a move on June 1 or 2.
