Times Internet acquires mens lifestyle portal MensXP

Times Internet has acquired MensXP.com, a lifestyle portal for men, the digital media company announced on Monday.

The aim of the acquisition is to further improve the content on MensXP and expose it to a larger audience, Times Internet said in a statement. It did not disclose the value of the transaction.

MensXP, whose channels include fashion, technology, health and entertainment, was founded three years ago by entrepreneur Angad Bhatia.
"This is really exciting for us because not only are we bringing in a strong platform, but we are bringing onboard an awesome, entrepreneurial team that has a huge vision for their business. Times Internet is focused on bringing on great entrepreneurs that can take their businesses to the next level with our support," the statement quoted Times Internet CEO Satyan Gajwani as saying.

Some of the properties of Times Internet, which claims over 30 million monthly visitors, include the websites of The Economic Times and The Times of India as well as Indiatimes Shopping, Timesdeal and Gaana.

"The acquisition will help MensXP further its vision to be the de facto lifestyle platform for Indian consumers," said Angad Bhatia, founder of MensXP who is now the business head.
