Microsoft plans to launch Surface tablet, Windows 8 at midnight

Tech giant, Microsoft is planning a midnight launch for its new Surface tablet on October 25, as the firm seeks to build momentum ahead of its debut in the tablet market. 

Along with the tab, Microsoft's new dual operating system, Windows 8, will also be launched at midnight, and both products will then be available at a series of pop-up stores in the US, which will be opened specifically on the morning of October 26.

A new survey by Informatica Corporation revealed that 72 per cent of Indian organizations are now considering, planning or running 'Big Data' projects, with organizations viewing the trend as an opportunity rather than an IT challenge by a greater than two-to-one margin in India.

Amazon to pay over dollar 1 billion to buy Seattle HQ

Amazon.com  said it will spend over $1 billion to buy its Seattle corporate headquarters in what will be the United States' biggest commercialreal estate deal so far this year for a single property. 

The world's largest internet retailer plans to buy 11 buildings in the trendy South Lake Union area, comprising 1.8 million square feet of corporate office space, for $1.16 billion from Microsoft Corp co-founder Paul Allen's investment firm. 

Review, Apples Maps app

 Apple's new maps app came out the day I started a 2,243-mile road trip through four states. As complaints about it trickled in and Apple's CEO apologized, I was left wondering whether people were using the same app I was. 

Although it's not flawless or as good as Google's maps app on Android phones, Apple's new offering on the iPhone got me where I needed to go - for the most part. I know many people will disagree with me, but I even find it an improvement over the old app on iPhones because I now get voice navigation and automatic re-routing.
