Samsung to unveil entry level Galaxy Frame in Feb

Samsung is reportedly working on a mid-range device called Galaxy Frame that will be showcased during the Mobile World Congress in February 2013. The device will share features with Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini, as per a report in tech news site SamMobile.

The upcoming Galaxy Frame is expected to hit the shelves in the first quarter of the next year. The report also says that Samsung will launch this smartphone in only one colour - Pearl White.
Going by the specifications of Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini (Galaxy Pop in India), the screen of Galaxy Frame might measure less than 4-inch. Its processor is likely to clock top speed of 800MHz, with 384-512MB of RAM. This smartphone may have only 2-4GB of internal memory and support 32GB microSD card. The camera resolution of this device is likely to range between 3-5MP, with no front snapper.

The biggest advantage that Galaxy Frame may have over its two siblings is the upgrade in operating system. While the other two devices come with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) out-of-the-box, this one is expected to be rolled out with Android 4.1 or even Android 4.2. When launched, this smartphone may take the place of these Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Mini in Samsung's line-up, while they might be discontinued.
