BSNL to roll out 4G enabled internet services in Indore

BSNL will launch 4G-enabled internet services in Indore division by May and wi-fi-based "Internet on wheels" in the current financial year, a top officer said.

"4G-based internet facility allowing users to download the data at the high-speed of 8MBPS will be started by May next", BSNL general manager GC Pandey announced at a press conference here.
He said the company will roll out first if its modules providing wi-fi-based internet facility to motorists on move in the ongoing financial year itself.

"BSNL's internet-activated car kit would be available in three types, in the range of Rs 6500, Rs 27,500 and Rs 29,500 (one time payment), which comes along with a standard dial-up plan of Rs 250 per month, besides other charges on download and fixed monthly charges for the e-car facility", Pandey said.

The general manager said the Indore division has earned a revenue of Rs 116.5 crore in FY13, and is aiming at earning the revenue of Rs 147 crore during FY14.
