Dubai based Indian origin student on cloud nine after ISCE achievement

Abu Dhabi, May 21 (ANI): A Dubai-based student Rohan Sampath is on cloud nine after setting a world record after scoring an aggregate of 99.5 percent in the Indian School Certificate Examinations (ISCE).
"I'm on cloud nine and a half. But I'm also quite humbled, being treated like a celebrity is a bit embarrassing," Sampath said.
Sampath, a grade 12 student, scored 100 percent in Mathematics, 100 percent in Physics, 100 percent in Computer Science and 98 percent in English, becoming the first student to score such marks in the history of ISC exams, according to his school.

The 18-year-old, who studied in Dubai Modern High School, gave credit to his parents and teachers for his incredible success, Gulf news reports.
"I think my parents and teachers should get a major part of the credit, as well as the senior leadership team of the school and my friends. All of them have played an important role in my success," Sampath said.
According to his father Sampath Srinivasan, Sampath has always been academically excellent.
"He is very balanced in his approach and gives equal importance to different aspects of learning. Apart from academics, he also participates in extra-curricular activities like debating. He is also a good tennis player and swimmer," said Srinivasan.
Sampath never went for private coaching classes and says there is no secret formula for success. (ANI)
