ICICI Bank was named as India's best among the 'World’s Best Emerging Market Banks 2012 in Asia' by the Global Finance magazine in an issue earlier this year. The magazine also ranked the safest banks in the world. The ranking was created through an evaluation of long-term credit ratings—from Moody’s, Standard & Poor’s and Fitch Ratings—and total assets of the 500 largest banks worldwide.
