As
Apple's annual WWDC developer conference draws near, the buzz about the
company launching new devices is getting stronger. Grapevine is rife
that Apple may unveil two iPhones at the conference, one of which will
be the cheaper version of the device. Now, a website has published what
it claims is the leaked image of the long-rumoured handset.
Two
users of Chinese microblogging website Weibo have posted images that
are said to be of the alleged cheaper iPhone. Consistent with previous
reports, the device has a curved body and is made using glossy plastic.
The Weibo users who leaked the images say that the device has a curved
back and feels good in the hand.
The two
images show a bumper case surrounding the device, along with the
Lightning dock connector that was introduced last year with the iPhone
5. Apart from these, the phone has a 3.5mm audio jack and two speakers
beside the Lightning dock, the images show.
Previously,
it was reported that Apple will go for multiple colour options for the
cheaper iPhone, namely navy, gold orange, white, pink and green. Reports
have suggested that the phone will be up for field test in June with
about 1,000 units. It is rumoured that the handset will be priced
between $300 and $400 and have casing made of plastic polycarbonate. A
report on French website Nowhereelse.fr has stated that Apple will
launch the cheaper iPhone and iPhone 5S on June 20.
